The best approach to learning the drum set

I found that learning the drum set can be overwhelming at times though
I did discover what made the learning curve much easier… focusing on
one exercise per practice session.  This way, you can devote all of your
attention that specific rudiment, drumbeat or technique.

Beginner Drum Lessons

If you have never played the drums before and now have the desire to
get behind a drum set and learn some drumbeats, be sure to look
for beginner drum lessons that are simple and easy to follow.  Make
sure the drum instructions are exciting and challenging but not beyond
the point of your ability to perform, which could ultimately discourage
you from playing at all.  Happy drumming!

Drum set tuning for great sounds

Drum set tuning is crucial to the sound that’s needed for your style
of music to be played. Whether your drum kit is brand new, heavily

tone quality. Though drummers have their own preference of tonal

Do I have to be an expert drummer to be in a band?

The answer is no…you do not have to be an expert/pro drummer
to be in a band.  Just having the basics in keeping a beat with
good tempo is important.  Depending on the band and music
played, it may require more skills than just a basic beat.

The bottom line is do not hold yourself back from giving yourself
a shot at being in a group.  It's a great way to better your playing
skills and communicate musical ideas.
